Macquarie Anglican – 2013 design

Macquarie Anglican - 2013 design

I was asked to join a team to develop the Macquarie Anglican Website for 2013, which included reorganising material on the site, using the Churchope theme to it’s fullest potential, as well as developing and managing the Korean Translation for the site using WPML. This was also the church’s first responsive design, allowing for mobiles and tablets to be used with this site.
I also managed the site for the next 4 years, until site v3 came into shape.
Screen shot of front page of the site. There are stripes of green, white and an image of the interior church building, filled with people worshiping.
Screen shot of the location and times page. There is a map with two pointers showing the churches locations, and two images showing the two church building exteriors.
Screen shot of the about us page. There is a video in the top left hand side, with some text on the right hand side. There is also some text in purple below, followed by some other details below that.
Screen shot of the simply Christianity page. There is a video in the top left hand side, with some text below it, and on the right hand side, there is a form.
Screen shot of the Korean front page of the site. There are stripes of green, white and an image Jesus walking away into golden light.

By Day, I work in Technical Support. In the Evenings, I volunteer as a webmaster at my church. I've done quite a bit of research over the last 4 years on church website design, and I'd like to share what I've learnt along the way. I also game, read, & watching movies, tv shows & that funny cat video online.
